A man has been charged with multiple firearm offences after police searched a property near Drake.
Police were at a property on Mudflat Road at 10.30am yesterday, Tuesday, June 17.
Police assisted by the Tactical Operations Group, PolAir, Region Enforcement Squad and rural crime investigators searched the property.
During the search, police said they found two firearms, ammunition, cannabis, police overalls and electronics.
After inquiries, a 56 year old man was arrested in Casino a short time later.
He was taken Casino Police Station where he was charged with 13 offences including possessing a prohibited weapon without a permit (four counts), possessing an unauthorised firearm (two counts), possessing ammunition without holding a licence or permit (two counts), supplying a prohibited drug, having goods suspected of being stolen and other charges.
The man was refused bail and was in Casino Local Court today, Wednesday, June 18, where he was formally refused bail to appear before the same court on Thursday, July 10.
