An attempted robbery left a man seriously injured in Casino early this morning, Friday, November 8.
At 3.30am, a man was in a parked car at Crawford Square, Casino, when he was awoken by an unknown man who demanded his mobile phone and a motorbike, which was attached to the car.
There was a struggle and the man who was in the car was wounded on his arm, chest and back.
The unknown man fled the scene a short time later empty handed.
A member of the public who was nearby drove the injured man, 26, to Casino Hospital where he is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Police were told about the incident by the hospital and immediately started inquiries.
A crime scene was established at Crawford Square.
