Man lost in floodwater in Lismore, search to resume tomorrow

Police will continue their search tomorrow to find a man that is believed to be missing in floodwater in Lismore.

About 4pm today, Sunday, February 27, officers from Richmond Police District were near Brewster St and Uralba St, Lismore, when they saw and heard a man calling for help from floodwater nearby.

Police lost sight of the man a short time later.

Police Rescue entered the water and searched the area however, the man has not been located.

A search of the surrounding area was undertaken involving local police and the NSW State Emergency Service.

The search was suspended due to floodwater dangers and will recommence tomorrow morning.
