MG sedan stolen at knifepoint is linked to break in at pub where man is assaulted

Emergency services were called to a home in Lawrence Street, Tabulam, after reports of a break and enter at 2.30am, today, Saturday, May 23.

Police were told two unknown men had threatened two women – aged 82 and 43 – with a knife before stealing a white MG sedan.

About 3:20am today, police responded to reports of an assault at the Lunatic Hotel in Drake.

On arrival, officers found a 38 year old man with a head injury.

He was treated at the scene paramedics before being taken to Lismore Base Hospital in a stable condition.

Police were told up to four unknown men broke into the premises and assaulted the man before leaving the scene in a white MG sedan.

A crime scene has been established at both locations.
