But did you know? The Summerland Giant Pumpkin and Watermelon Festival on Saturday, January 15 also includes a competition for tomatoes, sweet potato, zucchini and cucumber in the On the Vine competition.
There is no limit to the number of entries.
Check with your local nursery and they will advise on the best variety to grow.
Artists and crafters are reminded that entry forms are available for the On the Vine art competition. Works must reflect theme.
