Thomas Shaw was crowned Mr Beef at the Casino RSM on Saturday night, May 27.
Thomas performed on stage, stripping down to his undies as the crowd cheered him on.
Ten men gyrated to music while taking off their clothes in the bid to take home the Mr Beef plastic crown and a $1000 cheque.
It was the crowd who decided which man would get the title of Mr Beef 2023.
Voting was by audience cheer – the louder, the longer the applause, the higher the score.
Thomas was thrilled to win.
Two women in the audience were cheering so loudly Our Cow compere Holly Sheaffe asked them why.
It was Thomas’s mother and grandmother – Kylie Baker and Rhonda Keep.
It was the screams that helped him win, his mum said.
What was Mr Beef going to spend the prize money on?
I’ve got to pay the rego next week, he said.
The Show n Shine car display is in Casino CBD from 9am on Sunday, May 28 as part of the Beef Week program.
