Motorbike rider lost on trail is found by emergency services

A man riding a motorbike went missing in the Sandy Hill area between Drake and Tenterfield at 7.30am yesterday, Saturday, March 9.

Police Rescue, Casino VRA Rescue and Casino SES  joined other emergency crews in a land search for the 46 year old rider who had gone missing on bike trails the day before.

He was travelling alone with minimal equipment. 

It was a coordinated search by several crews.

NSW Police coordinated the multi agency search. Crews entered the track at both ends and found the rider.  

His only injury was mild exposure.

The man was taken by crews to a waiting ambulance where he was given the all clear before returning to his family in Tenterfield.
