When the soundwaves went silent at 88.9FM Richmond Valley Radio in Woodburn, it was because of the floods.

The studio was flooded and there were issues with the internet at the transmitter site.

New equipment had to be bought and the studio fixed.

Today, Monday, June 6, radio host Nora Vidler-Blanksby is back on the airwaves with her program The Long Lunch.

For years, she has entertained listeners between noon and 3pm every Monday, with a range of guests.

Today, she will be talking to Paul Phillips, Councillor Darlene Cook, Councillor Danielle Mulholland, lawyer Steve Bolt, Rockin’ Robyne, Lynne Vernon, promoter Andrew Neave, Jenny Dowell and Mark Watson

Welcome back to Nora and all the 88.9FM radio presenters.
