Today marks the end of the bush fire danger period.
This means that as of today, April 1, you no longer require a permit to burn.
Casino Rural Fire Brigade reminded people that even though permits weren’t required, you are still required to notify all adjoining neighbours and Northern Rivers Notification line on 6626 6922 at least 24 hours before lighting a fire.
You can instead notify your burn at this link at any time. It only takes a few minutes to fill in the activity form.
