Police in an unmarked car were patrolling the Coraki area at 11.30am on Monday, September 12 when they got out of the car and approached a Toyota Hilux ute on Lagoon Rd, Coraki.

The ute drove off at high speed and the officers got back into their car and chased the ute.

The pursuit continued through several roads towards Mongogarie before the ute allegedly deliberately rammed the front of the police car.

The police stopped to inspect the damage then continued the pursuit for a short time.

The two occupants of the ute got out and fled into nearby bushland.

Police set up a perimeter in the bushland but did not catch the offenders.

The ute was seized for forensic examination.

The police are still trying to find the two people who were in the ute.
