Steve Holzhauser loved birds.
Kyogle Photography Group coordinator Mick Bobin said when Steve “recently passed” and because of his great love of birds, Mick proposed the theme, bird life for the group’s monthly project.
“I only met Steve Holzhauser once’” Mick said. “A very quiet, sensitive man who loved his birds.
“He had a huge number of caged birds and spent a lot of time preparing special food for them and generally looking after them.”
Mick said he couldn’t think of a better tribute than to use bird life as a theme.
“Steve had been ill for about 18 months and I sent him any good bird photos I found on some of the photo forums,” Mick said.
