Woodenbong residents will soon be able to have a say on the beautification of their main street.

The draft plan
In May last year, Kyogle Council engaged ROSS Planning to lead the creation of a masterplan for the Woodenbong CBD around Macpherson St.
After a drop-in and listening post with residents, the plan was broadened out from the commercial centre focused on Macpherson St to include parts of Unumgar and Lindsay streets.
A draft plan was reviewed in August and September, 2021. Since then, there have been revisions and corrections to the plan.
On Monday, August 8 at the Kyogle Council meeting, councillors will decide whether to go ahead and put the plan on public exhibition for 28 days.

The cost
The cost of implementing the works included in the draft landscape plan are not budgeted for at this point.
If the master plan is adopted by the council, staff will prepare the detailed cost estimates and business case for funding applications.
