
Police are appealing for assistance after reports of a child approach incident in Casino.
On Monday, June 23 at 7.50am, two children – a 6 year old boy and an 11 year old girl – were walking to a bus stop on the intersection of Frederick and Sandilands streets when a ute stopped next to them. The driver asked the children if they wanted a lift.
The children managed to yell out to a family member before the driver took off down Queensland Road.
Police have released CCTV images of a ute seen in the area at the time of the incident.
The vehicle is described as being a dark grey dual cab utility possibly a 2012-2018 Ford Ranger PX model with a bull bar.
The driver has been described as a man of Asian appearance.
