Police told BMW crashed into trees on highway bend


Emergency services were called to the Bruxner Highway, Piora, after reports of a crash at 9.30pm yesterday, Monday, September 9.

At the scene, police were told that a BMW X3 left the roadway on a bend before crashing into trees, causing a tree to fall and block both lanes of the highway.

The driver and sole occupant of the car, a 44 year old woman, was taken to Lismore Base Hospital for observation.

As inquiries continue, police urge anyone with information or dashcam footage to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
