Should Monday be a public holiday when Anzac Day falls on a Saturday?
Premier Chris Minns said on his Facebook page that he is “thinking about it.”
In the comments section on the post, there is huge support for this.
Not many people are going to complain about a day off.
In NSW, there are 11 public holidays.
In Victoria and Canberra, there are 13 – the highest number in the country.
And when will Mr Minns decide?
He said he is in talks with his government and the RSL to create a new public holiday when Anzac Day falls on a Saturday.
And added that he’d like to see it happen this year as Anzac Day falls on Saturday, April 25.
WA and the ACT already do this.
