Rescue helicopter flies to motorbike accident

The Westpac Rescue Helicopter has been on missions to Wardell and Urbenville this weekend.

Yesterday, Saturday, October 28 at 10.30am, the rescue helicopter flew to Back Channel Road, Wardell to assist at a motorbike accident.

The rider, in his 50s, was treated by paramedics and taken by ambulance to Lismore Base Hospital.

Today, Sunday, October 29 at 5am, the rescue helicopter flew to Urbenville to assist a man, in his 80s, who was having a medical episode.

He was flown to Lismore Base Hospital for further treatment.
