Rescue helicopter flies to scene of motorbike accident at Ruthven

At 7.30pm on Saturday, April 2 there was a serious motorbike accident at Ruthven north west of Coraki.

The Westpac Rescue Helicopter flew to the scene but because of flooding in the area access to the location was difficult.

However the helicopter was able to reach the 26 year old man who had head injuries from the accident.

The helicopter critical care medical team treated and stabilised the patient before he has since bee airlifted to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition for further treatment.
