Residents help people escape from crashed car fire

Emergency services including Casino Rescue Squad rushed to a crash on Queensland Road, Casino at 12.50pm today, Thursday, June 27.

At the scene, a car had crashed into a tree and was engulfed with fire.

Nearby residents helped the people in the car to escape according to emergency services,

“One resident used a chainsaw to cut away tree branches.”

Paramedics treated two patients while Casino Fire Brigade extinguished the intense fire. 

NSW Police, council staff and a Transport for NSW crew also attended the incident.
