In Kyogle, Richmond Valley and Lismore, tomorrow, Thursday, September 19 is forecast to be a day of high fire danger in the Northern Rivers Rural Fire District .

The decision was made to not suspend permits however RFS asks all permit holders to reconsider their need to do non-essential burns with windy and warm conditions expected.

If you have had a burn recently, you should monitor that area to ensure it is fully out, RFS said.

Make sure you and your family are prepared and have a plan of what you’re going to do if there’s a fire.
