The Wright family announced that Rose Wright, founder and managing director of Regionality has died after a brief but fierce battle with cancer.
Rose was a pioneering leader in agritourism, culinary tourism, and regional food systems.
With more than 30 years in business, she worked alongside farmers, agritourism operators, and regional communities to shape stronger, more sustainable futures.
Her advocacy was instrumental in policy reforms, including NSW agritourism land use and Queensland’s Agritourism Roadmap.
She served on the board of Australian Regional Tourism, was auxiliary committee chair of the Global Agritourism Network, and an alumna of the Australian Rural Leadership Foundation.
Beyond her professional achievements, Rose was a wife, mother of four, mentor, and friend.
She approached everything she did with courage and passion and she leaves behind a remarkable legacy.
