After trading for eight years, Heath Anderson has shut the doors of Ruby’s Cafe in Kyogle’s main street.
The shop has been for sale for about a year.
Heath said he has had “a little bit of interest” and a few inquiries.
When Heath bought the cafe on Summerland Way, it was called the Sundowner and had been operating as a cafe for about 15 years.
Heath doesn’t want to renew the lease which is due at the end of February so he has closed the cafe and wants it sold by February 28.
”If it isn’t sold, the shop will be gutted,” he said.
Heath plans to stay in Kyogle and focus on his other businesses including a tip truck business.
Ruby’s cafe is a large site and can easily seat 20 people inside and more outside on the footpath.
Ruby’s was one of few cafes to stay open all weekend.
”Sunday was my busiest day,” Heath said.
Anyone interested in buying the business can call Heath on 0477 046 621.
