There was a domestic violence incident on Summerland Way, Kyogle this morning, Tuesday, June 9 near Kyogle High School.
Police said the DV related incident did not involve the high school.
However as a safety precaution the school went into lockdown.
Parents were initially concerned about the lockdown until notifications were received from the school.
”We’d like to inform you that the school underwent a brief lockdown this morning to support student wellbeing,” part of the notification said.
The NSW Department of Education said it would not be commenting on the school’s lockdown.
It is believed the school was in lockdown for about an hour from 9am.
