SES crew spends two hours removing fallen tree from driveway

The tree fell across a driveway at Eden Creek.

Kyogle SES Unit spent two hours removing a tree that had fallen across a driveway at Eden Creek at noon today, Saturday, July 5.

The tree was blocking access for residents.

The tree was about a metre in diameter and was rotten at the base and had snapped off, landing across the driveway.

Because the tree was so large, the crew decided to do a cut through the trunk and then use the winch and a redirection pulley system attached to a nearby tree to winch the trunk clear of the driveway.

The resident was able to drive through and gain access to their property.
