SES rescues woman trapped in car down an embankment for two days

Kyogle SES unit were called to Lillian Rock Road at noon today, Saturday, November 11 after two cyclists spotted a car 5metres down an embankment.

Paramedics attended and the SES assisted with removing a woman in her 70s from the car.

She had been trapped in the car with her dog for two days.

The woman was treated for dehydration.

She had bruising and a head injury.

She was flown to Lismore Base Hospital in a stable condition.

The multi-agency rescue involved Nimbin RFS, Kyogle SES, Kyogle Fire and Rescue, NSW Ambulance and Westpac Rescue Helicopter.
