Six trucks and 15 firefighters work to extinguish house fire

Emergency crews were called to Oxbow Road, Cawongla, near Kyogle at 8:30pm, yesterday, Monday, March 25.

When they arrived firefighters found a remote single-storey house with a tin roof engulfed by fire and a shed close by under threat of fire.

Fifteen firefighters with six trucks worked to extinguish the fire and protect the shed.

The fire was contained before 10pm. 

Kyogle RFS and Kyogle Fire and Rescue crews attended the fire.

Nobody was reported to be living in the house.
