Some time early Sunday morning, the Haymans’ boat, motor and trailer was stolen from Woodburn Evans Head Rd. The tinnie had all their tackle gear in it.

Today, Monday, December 12, police called Sean and Kelly Hayman.

“Police called us to say there was an abandoned boat at the Coraki boat ramp and asked us to meet them there,” Kelly said.

“It was our boat but there was no trailer, motor or any of our stuff.”

The boat was padlocked to the jetty.

“We got it to our house and had to use gloves to get it on a friend’s trailer and into the shed because we are waiting for the forensic team to come and do fingerprints,” Kelly said.

It’s not a totally happy ending for the fishing Hayman family but good news the tinnie was located. Now they just need some fishing rods and tackle boxes.
