The Evans Head-Casino Surf Life Saving Club will be able to reduce its electricity costs with a $84,077 grant through the State Government’s Surf Club Facility Program.

State MP Richie Williamson said the grant would ensure the clubhouse was equipped to train the next generation of surf lifesavers.

“Evans Head-Casino has been awarded over $84,077 to reduce their electricity costs by installing solar panels and to upgrade the security system to keyless entry,” Mr Williamson said.

“The clubhouse is often used as a function room for weddings and other community events so the whole community will benefit from these upgrades.”
