Truck crash on Pacific Highway, driver has lucky escape and is uninjured

UPDATE: All lanes on the M1 are now open.

Emergency services were called to the M1 Pacific Motorway after reports of a crash at 1.45pm, today, Friday, August 23.

On arrival, police found a truck had hit a barrier with the trailer rolled onto its side.

The male driver was uninjured and is assisting with inquiries.

Traffic on the M1 is obstructed, with southbound lanes blocked and one northbound lane blocked.

Drivers travelling on the Pacific Highway should be aware the highway is closed southbound near West Ballina.

A truck has crashed at about 2pm, today, Friday, August 23.

One of two northbound lanes is also closed.

Drivers can take an alternate route and use the Bruxner Highway as traffic is heavy. Expect delays.
