A car was stuck in the fast waters of a rising Clarence River at Yates Crossing Alice near Ewingar at 3.28pm today, Friday, May 20.
Casino Rescue Squad was called after there was a report of a car and people trapped in in floodwaters.
The rescue crew was stood down before they arrived and returned to base.
The crew had a message:
If it’s flooded, forget it.
Never drive, walk, ride or attempt to swim through flooded waters.
Later a second car was stuck in floodwaters at Yates Crossing. Tabulam Police assisted.
