Richmond Valley residents, your elected councillors have been officially verified by the NSW Electoral Commission today, Tuesday, October 1.
They are John Walker, Steve Morrissey, Robert Hayes, Sam Cornish, Lyndall Murray, Sandra Humphrys and mayor Robert Mustow.
Two of the elected are new – Ms Murray and Mr Walker will join the group of previous sitting councillors.
Ms Murray said she was “deeply grateful to everyone in Richmond Valley for trusting me and Group C with your vote.”
“I am thrilled about the journey that lies ahead.
She said the priority issue right now is stormwater drainage following the recent heavy rains.
“I am committed to prioritizing our community’s needs and working collaboratively with my fellow council members to deliver effective solutions, while always putting people before politics,” Ms Murray said.
