Police were called to a unit on North Street, Casino at 12.20am yesterday, Saturday, November 15 after reports of a home invasion.
Police attended the home and were told three men – who were armed with a weapon – broke into the unit where an 89 year old man and a 60 year old woman were present.
A neighbour – a 33 year old woman – witnessed the incident and tried to help.
The group left in the victim’s blue Kia sedan, and police were called.
The 33 year old and 60 year old women were treated by paramedics at the scene for non-life-threatening injuries.
The 89 year old man was uninjured.
Police have established a crime scene and are investigating the incident.
