Van smashes into highway guard rail, rolls and lands next to a boat in someone’s yard

A Toyota van veered off Bruxner Highway and crashed into the guard rail at Mallanganee at 5.30am today, Friday, June 27.

The van smashed the highway guard rail before rolling down an embankment and coming to a stop next to a boat in a yard.

Paramedics attended but the driver was unharmed and did not require treatment or need to be transported to hospital.

Mallanganee and Mummulgum RFS units attended the crash site.

The van landed down the embankment next to the boat.

The van was heading west on the Bruxner Highway and hit the guard rail at Tooloom Street before landing in a resident’s yard, the RFS said.
