VOTE KYOGLE: Know more about the 12 people who could be your next councillors

Voting in Kyogle Council is a little more complicated than other LGAs.
There are nine councillor positions in three separate wards with three councillors in each ward.
A Ward includes Cawongla, Wadeville and parts of Kyogle.
B Ward includes Ettrick, Geneva and parts of Kyogle.
C Ward includes Wiangaree, Grevillia, Woodenbong, Muli Muli, Old Bonalbo, Bonalbo, Tabulam, Mallanganee and Mummulgum.
Check the map at the bottom of this page to see which street your ward is in if you are on a boundary between two wards.
Because A Ward has only three nominations, those three people will automatically be councillors for that ward.
Overall there are 12 nominations.
We asked the candidates seven questions.
  • Tell us about where you live and your family.
  • If you’ve been a councillor – what are you most proud of in your previous term?
  • What do you bring to the role of councillor this election?
  • What brings you joy in life?
  • What difficulties does your community face?
  • What is your job? What do you like/dislike about it?
  • Dare to dream – what is your vision for your region?
We’ve included the candidates in A Ward even though they are automatically elected so you can know a bit more about who is representing you.
We have received no responses from candidates Kylie Thomas and Bob Dwyer.
Click on the candidates’ photos to read their answers.
