Saturday is looking windy, but Sunday should be a nice day for fishing, Brett Hyde from Ballina Bait and Tackle said.
“There’s good snapper offshore on the 32 fathom line,” Brett said.
The current is running strong out wide, so fishers were advised to stay near the close reefs.
There’s been mulloway in the deep holes and lower reaches, Brett said.
The change of tide in the next couple of nights will be good for fishing.
There’s a number of flatties between the ferry and Wardell.
Big tides are pushing mud crabs into the creeks.
Evans River has plenty of mud crabs too.
Happy fishing folks.
