What’s on in NAIDOC Week: Evans Head, Casino, Kyogle, Coraki, Tabulam

Casino

Monday, July 3: March and Fun Day

The ceremony and march begin at 10am in Graham Place followed by the march along Walker Street at 10.30am.

The Family Fun Day begins at 11am at Colley Park with kids’ activities, Elders tent, live music, information stalls and a barbecue lunch.

Road closures

On Monday, July 3, there will be temporary road closures in place in Casino and Coraki for NAIDOC Week celebrations.

Graham Place, Casino will be closed from 9.45am with parts of Walker Street closing from 10.30am for about 15 minutes.

Coraki

Monday, July 3: NAIDOC March at 10am (this was cancelled because of rain)

Tuesday, July 4: Fun Day

At Box Ridge at Coraki Youth Hall at 10am.

Wednesday, July 5 By the River

Activities by the river at 10am.

Solid Mob Movie Night at 5pm at the Coraki Pod Village.

Road closures

Richmond Terrace in Coraki will be closed between 9.45am and 11am.

Evans Head

Tuesday, July 11: Celebrations

NAIDOC Celebrations at Stan Payne Oval at 11am.

Kyogle

Friday, July 15: NAIDOC Celebrations

At the Kyogle Amphitheatre Parklands at 10am–2pm.

With live music by SoulSista Sheli Nagas, Linda Ford, Donna Ahearn, Shane Runciman, Dave Roberts, Kim Turner and Ruth Woodhams.

There will me mask art making, children’s activities, craft, writing, boomerang painting and games. Free food.

Tabulam

Sunday, July 9: Markets

The Tabulam markets are at the oval. There will be fresh produce, craft, books, plant stalls.

Live music starts at 9am with Zac and Ruby, and Andra.

11am  NAIDOC Week Elders address and indigenous dance troupe.

Noon Open Jam
