Train commuters in Casino and Kyogle will have another week to wait before the XPT is running again.
NSW TrainLink Services between Sydney and Grafton return to normal tomorrow, Monday, September 23, but coaches between Grafton and Brisbane will still replace trains until Sunday, September 29
A Transport for NSW spokesperson said the disruption to rail services north of Grafton is because of Queensland Rail’s Cross River Rail project which is impacting train journeys in and out of Brisbane.
Trackwork will be carried out north from Grafton while services are revised to accommodate the Queensland rail project.
