A Volvo station wagon was found in a paddock off the Bruxner Highway at South Gundurimba at 8.30pm yesterday, Friday, September 13.
Emergency services found the car after it had left the road and crashed through a fence.
The driver, a 65 year old woman died at the scene.
Police established a crime scene and investigations continue.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
