A woman in her 60s fell down an embankment at the edge of the river in Wiangaree yesterday, Tuesday October 4.
She injured her ankle in the fall.
Paramedics were called to Worendo St, Wiangaree at 1.10pm on Tuesday, October 4 where they found the woman down a steep, muddy embankment.
Getting her up the embankment required a careful rescue operation.
Paramedics, along with SES, the RFS and police worked together to carry the woman to a waiting ambulance.
She was taken to Kyogle Multi-Purpose Service for further treatment.
