Woodenbong artists will be bringing their work to the Woodenbong Public Hall today, Friday, August 21 ready for the weekend exhibition.
This is the first time the Woodenbong Arts Group is hosting the Jim Grasby Memorial Art Prize to honour the memory of Jim Grasby (pictured above) who founded the Woodenbong Art group more than 14 years ago.
Jim died earlier this year. Both his daughters will be in attendance on Saturday.
Ellen Parker the postmistress at Woodenbong Post Office will open the event, and will co-judge with local artist Christine Reid.
The exhibition is open 10am–4pm on Saturday, August 22 and Sunday, August 23.
The official opening and prize winner will be announced from 2pm on Saturday and the peoples choice winner will be announced on Sunday at 3pm.
Some artwork will be for sale.
Refreshments will be served during the event.
Artwork can be collected on Monday morning between 9.30 and midday.
