Numbers were down by 300 with a yarding of 1100 head.
The yarding of young cattle consisted of large numbers of light plain conditioned weaners and there was also not the number of well bred cattle on offer this week.
The market was easier for restocker weaners with most sales down by 20c to 30c with the lack of quality having some bearing on the cheaper prices.
Most of the restocker weaner steers sold from 240c to 396c while restocker weaner heifers sold from 180c to 336c/kg.
The small penning of yearling steers sold to 316c/kg.
The yarding of export cattle consisted mainly of cows along with a few pens of grown steers and heifers.
Grown steers were 10c dearer ranging from 319c to 344c while grown heifers reached a top price of 320c/kg.
The cow market improved by 10c in some sales, more with 2 score medium weights selling from 240c to 276c and 3 score medium weights averaged 276c, while 4 score cows sold from 288c to 315c/kg.
Heavy bulls reached a top price of 292c/kg.
