Yarding of 2250 at NRLX cattle sales

With the rain easing, there was a yarding 2250 head at the NRLX cattle sales today, Wednesday, June 17.

There were 600 cows offered with 30 bullocks, 32 bulls with the balance being vealers and yearlings. 

The quality of the yarding was not as good as the previous sale which reflected in the market. 

Vealer steers under 200kg sold from 332c to 614c/kg to restockers. 

Vealer steers 200 to 280kg also sold well to make 612c/kg to restockers. 

Vealer steers 280 to 330kg made from 486c to 537c/kg to restockers. 

Vealer heifers under 200kg sold from 310c to 514c/kg to restockers. 

Vealer heifers 200 to 280kg sold from 450c to 498c/kg to restockers. 

Vealer heifers 280 to 330kg sold to 408c to restockers and 466c/kg to Lot feeders. 

Yearling steers 200 to 280kg made from 316c to 520c/kg to backgrounders. 

Yearling steers 280 to 330kg with the restockers making from 442c to 524c/kg. 

Yearling steers 330 to 400kg sold from 478c to 536c/kg to Lot feeders. 

Yearling heifers under 200kg sold to 476c to average 432c/kg to backgrounders. 

Yearling heifers 200 to 280kg selling from 268c for the plainer types to 440c/kg to backgrounders. 

Yearling heifers 280 to 330kg with the restockers to 432c and from 360c to 474c/kg to Lot feeders. 

Yearling heifers 330 to 400kg with the Lot Feeders making to 430c and restockers to 458c/kg. 

Grown steers up to 400kg sold to 402c/kg. 

Grown steers over 600kg sold to 448c/kg to processors. 

Grown heifers over 540kg topped 432c/kg to processors. 

Lessor numbers of cows penned and could not sustain the levels of the previous sale. 

The 3 score cows over 520kg topped 396c/kg to processors. 

The 2 score cows 400 to 520kg sold from 220 to 338c/kg to processors. 

Bulls over 600 sold to 397c/kg to processors.
