The former Woodburn Boxing Club has reopened and its name change to Woodburn Fight & Fit reflects the intention to offer more than boxing.
Katrina Gearing is interim president of Woodburn Fight & Fit committee and she said the club only reopened this week.
We will be expanding our range of classes to other fitness related actives from just boxing, she said.
The committee has had a lot of meetings in the past months to get the council owned building on Redwood Lane open again.
As a community organisation, the committee wants to hear what the community needs.
”We already offer women’s fitness classes,” Katrina said.
The new boxing coach is Rod McQuilty who grew up in Kyogle.
Boxing classes are for 9 years old plus and the club is looking for another coach.
As committee members bring everything together, they are keen to hear from the community about the kind of classes they want and at what time.
