It’s the first cake he’s ever made.

He used a packet mix and entered it in the Kyogle Show.

Brian Creedy won the first prize of $125 for his choc cake.

The judges would have been shocked except this was the Michael Reardon Blokes Packet Cake Comp – a first for the Kyogle Show.

The rules were – use a packet mix, icing on top, baker must be male.

Brian is a regular exhibitor in the jam and marmalade sections but never the cakes.

There were seven entries – one of the cakes made by Matthew Painter was decorated with a smile in yellow icing.

What is Brian going to do with his packet cake?

“Take it home and eat it,” he said.

Spoken like a true champ.

The comp was sponsored by Ben, Nick, Tori and Tom Reardon in memory of Michael Reardon.

There was a Reserve Champion prize of $75 and an Encouragement Prize of a chocolate cake packet mix.
