Casino Memorial Swimming Pool will open in early October after repairs are complete.
Richmond Valley Council’s general manager Vaughan Macdonald said the council had been fixing the pool to make sure it got the repairs right.
“There were issues with the expansion joints and they’re now fixed,” Mr Macdonald said, standing at the bottom of the empty pool.
All that’s left to do is to fill the Casino pool with water.
Richmond Valley Aquatics runs the pools in Casino, Evans Head, Coraki and Woodburn.
Bookings can be made for Term 4 Learn to Swim classes at all four pools.
