Emergency services were called to the chemist on Summerland Way, Kyogle after reports of an armed robbery at about 1pm today, Tuesday, April 9.
Police were told a man had threatened staff with a knife, before leaving with items.
No one was injured in the incident.
The man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 177cm tall, of medium build and believed to be aged in his 40s.
He was last seen at about 1pm in a red 2011 red Holden Commodore heading north from Kyogle CBD.
He was wearing a grey and black baseball cap, black t-shirt and grey shorts.
Police have established a crime scene and are appealing for anyone with information to contact Kyogle Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
