There is a new hanging system for artworks at Cassino Gallery on Barker Street put up just in time for the launch of a new exhibition this Saturday, June 28.
For the first time, the gallery will host the NAIDOC Week Indigenous Art Exhibition. The entries will look even more professional with the new hanging system funded by Richmond Valley Council.
Gallery president Maree Beek said the NAIDOC Week exhibition is an opportunity for local and regional artists to present their work in whatever art form they wish.

This can include painting, weaving, jewellery, sculpture, and even stories, Ms Beek said.
Artwork can be listed for sale less a 20% commission. The exhibition runs until July 12.
The launch is on Saturday, June 28 at 2pm. Everyone is welcome. Entry is $10 for the launch only (includes a glass of wine and nibbles).
You can visit the exhibition at other times for a gold coin donation.

June marks the halfway point of a busy year for Cassino Gallery with exhibitions planned for the rest of the year.
The exhibitions are:
Truck Art, July 19–August 9
Watercolour, September 20–October 11
Tiny Art and Photography, November 15–December 6.
School students are invited to submit their work to any of these exhibitions.
Cassino Gallery is open during exhibitions every Thursday to Saturday between 10amand 3pm. For more information go here.
