A police car became stuck on Broadwater Bridge yesterday, Wednesday, May 28.
The bridge is being repaired and is not open to the public yet.
At 1.20pm yesterday, police attempted to stop a grey station wagon — believed to be stolen — on Bagotville Road, Bagotville.
When the station wagon failed to stop, police chased after it.
The station wagon drove onto Broadwater Bridge.
Police said the station wagon reversed and hit the police car and then drove over the bridge.
When police tried to follow, their car became stuck in a damaged section of the bridge.
No arrests have been made at this time and inquiries are ongoing.
