The Casino Fun Run was launched at Windara today, Friday, August 8 with a performance from the Deadly Dancers of Casino High School.
The fun run was co-founded in 2013 by Olympian Scott Westcott and Paralympian Katie Kelly.
The event is about bringing the joy of running to country areas often overlooked by major sporting events. Since its inception, the event has grown steadily, drawing participants from across the region.
Achieve Australia is the naming sponsor of the fun run. This fits well with the founding vision of a fully accessible course and an all-abilities race category, ensuring that everyone can take part.
“We’re incredibly proud to be part of an event that not only celebrates the fun of sport, but also champions accessibility and community connections,” Achieve Australia chief executive Jo-Anne Hewitt said.

Casino Fun Run is on Sunday, September 21. You can choose to run/walk 10k, 5k or 2k.
