Sit Downe and strap yourselves in for a long night, Kyogle!

Funny friends – Bob Downe and Stan Munro.

Susanna Freymark

Two funny friends will be on stage at the Kyogle Bowlo in October and while that may seem a long way off,  tickets are selling fast.

Mark Trevorrow as Bob Downe will be performing at the bowling club and his words for Kyogle are: “Strap yourself in Kyogle, it will be a long night.”

“I was visiting Stan, it was his idea,” Mark said.

“Stan is on the bill.”

When Stan and Mark visited the Bowlo, they were so welcoming, Mark said.

Mark as Bob Downe is billed as the Prince of Polyster and is an Aussie comedy icon.

He’s also a ‘straight’ actor starring in the new series Colin from Accounts.

“I play Harriet’s distant gay dad – he’s a cruise ship entertainer,” Mark said.

He also starred in Kath & Kim as Darryl in the menswear department.

Her is a comedian, singer, actor, broadcaster and journalist – in his 40 year journey through Australian media and show business has taken him from copy boy at the Melbourne Herald Sun, to cabaret to arts editor of Vogue Australia, to the creation of Bob Downe in 1984.

And it’s Bob Downe you’ll see at the Bowlo.

Tickets for the Saturday, October 17 show at the Kyogle Bowling Club are $30 plus a $2.41 booking fee and can be bought online here. Or gets tickets at Clay Corner or Kyogle Sports & Community Club aka as the Bowlo.
