Speed limit on Tregeagle Road reduces from 80km to 60km

Tregeagle Road will have a 60kmh speed limit.

The speed limit on Tregeagle Road will be reduced to 60kmh from April 28.

Transport for NSW recently completed a review in response to the community’s request to reduce the speed limit from 80 km to 60 km.

The new 60kmh speed limit will apply from just west of Skyline Road, east of Wyrallah, through to the intersection with Rous Road.

Electronic message boards will start showing the revised limits from April 28.

The change is expected to add about two minutes to travel times along this road.

Population growth, an increasing number of driveways, sometimes limited sight lines, and large radius curves on crests were considerations in the speed zone review.

A speed zone review is a comprehensive process that includes site inspections, analysis of the current road environment and road condition, consideration of crash data and traffic volumes.
